The band had a great time out in Pomona last week with all their fans and Band Of Horses. Was great to be playing with these guys - their set was amazing.

Cool blog Speed Of Dark was at the show and did a nice review of the show, with photos of Gus and Charlie, but sadly not even a mention that Jake Blanton was on stage with the band on bass, or that John Wood was on keys, but we can forgive her that!

Here’s a special Friday bulletin. Brilliant blog losanjealous has teamed up with Limewire - yes, the program you can use to steal music. (Limewire have gone legit, incase you didn’t know, and are now like Napster. You pay a fee, you get lots of music. And they’re really supportive of independent music. Which is cool.) Limewire do a sampler series called Ear To The Ground. They feature cities - Brookyln, Seattle, Berlin, San Francisco - and they’re top indie bands. The great thing is, the sampler is free. Always. PLUS... Willoughby will be playing a show on Tuesday, July 28 at the Bootleg Theatre with our good friends Obi Best headlining. We’ve been recording some new songs, and getting them ready for the Band Of Horses show in Pomona at the end of August, so this will be our first chance to play some of those for you. Willoughby to play with Band Of Horses

Band Of Horses have announced a special one-off concert in Pomona this summer, with Willoughby appearing as their guest. We’re looking forward to playing new songs in such a great venue (the Fox Theatre), and with a great band asking us to join them. It’s worth the trip to Pomona folks - come on out for a great Saturday night (August 29). There is a special ticket presale starting tomorrow at 10:00am. The password is, cleverly, HORSES.

RCRD LBL releases Center Of Sleep

The folks over at RCRD LBL heard the new live version of Center of Sleep, one of the tracks the band are working on for their sophomore release, which Gus recorded live in Hamburg on ByteFM and wanted to feature it themselves. Thanks to everyone at ByteFM for working out this international deal, allowing RCRD LBL to release the brand new track as a download.

Willoughby’s European Vacation

Look kids, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament... etc.

Willoughby are taking to the sky and heading to Europe for their first shows outside North America. On tour with Priscilla Ahn, they will be performing in Germany, Scotland and Ireland on this tour. So glad we get to come play to our fans in Europe and we’re looking forward to meeting you on the road.

Gus will also be performing with Priscilla Ahn for her headline shows and they will be performing as a duo, so lots of chance to see Gus playing.

Willoughby show Thursday - Los Angeles

Willoughby are playing a special show on Thursday night at the Silverlake Lounge in Silverlake, Los Angeles. Sharing the bill with The Foundry Field Recordings and Or, The Whale, the night is being presented by our PR gurus, Force Field PR and Silverlake promoters The Fold.

Willoughby Head Back To Kansas

Two new Willoughby shows are now confirmed. The first one is next weekend in Kansas, when Willoughby come home to Kansas for a show at the 8th Street Taproom on February 15 with This Frontier Needs Heroes (NYC) and Hunters&Gatherers (KC).

Then on March 12 Willoughby will play the Silverlake Lounge in Los Angeles with Or, The Whale (SF). Force Field PR are presenting the night, and we'll be adding at least one more band to the bill. Keep you posted.

And if you're in Los Angeles this weekend, we recommend checking out Benji Hughes, Gus Seyffert, Keefus Cianci, Jonathan Wilson, John Gold and others at the new HOME in Silver Lake (is it really?). The show is this Saturday night, February 7. The Fold are now putting on shows here, and this is going to be a cool jam night, with hours of music and special guests. And it's free...
